CLAY MUD
For Topical Use
Mix:
-
1 generous cup Calcium Bentonite Clay Powder
-
3 cups water
Add the water and clay to a blender. Blend on high for approximately 30 seconds, until you have a smooth, creamy consistency.
Transfer to an airtight glass or food-grade plastic container with a non-metallic lid.
Allow the mixture to sit for approximately 15 minutes to fully hydrate and expand before use.
To Use:
Apply directly to the skin as a clay mask, body treatment, or poultice. For a thicker mud, use slightly less water until you reach your desired consistency.
CLAY BATH
For Full-Body Use
Mix:
-
1–2 cups Calcium Bentonite Clay Powder
-
Approximately 3 cups water to start
Add the water to a blender, followed by the clay. Add additional water as needed, leaving about an inch of room at the top of the blender.
Blend on high for approximately 30 seconds.
Pour the blended clay directly into a bathtub filled with comfortably warm water and stir to distribute.
To Use:
Soak for 20–30 minutes, submerging as much of your body as comfortably possible. Occasionally move the water around to keep the clay circulating.
When finished, towel dry.
CARING FOR YOUR CLAY
Keep prepared clay in a clean glass or food-grade plastic container with a non-metallic lid.
Store away from direct sunlight, extreme heat, chemicals, and strong odors.
Clay may naturally settle between uses. Shake or stir well before using.
Avoid storing hydrated clay in metal containers or leaving it in prolonged contact with metal utensils.
These ratios come directly from the original instructions: Drink: ½ cup to 4 cups water , Mud: 1 generous cup to 3 cups water , and Bath: 1–2 cups clay blended with water, then added to the bath for a 20–30 minute soak.
